Terms of Service

Last updated 2 November 2026

These terms apply when you buy any service from Local Web Studio ("we", "us"), a UK-based business. By paying for a service, you agree to these terms. Please read them with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy. You can contact us at localwebstudio.uk@gmail.com.

1. Our services

  • Google Business Profile Setup (£30 one-off): we create, or claim and tidy, your Google Business Profile as described on our Services & Pricing page.
  • Website Setup (£149 one-off): we design and set up a website of up to 5 pages for your business, and you approve it before it goes live.
  • Website Care Plan (£49 per month): hosting, SSL, backups, monitoring, up to 2 small updates a month, and email support. A website we host needs an active care plan.
  • 24/7 Enquiry Assistant (£29 per month): an optional add-on to the Website Care Plan.

Any extra work (more pages, booking or shop features, and similar) is quoted in writing first and only done if you agree.

2. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
  • One-off services are paid in advance by card. Monthly plans are billed in advance each month by card subscription, starting on the date you subscribe.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • If a monthly payment fails and isn't resolved within 14 days, we may pause the service after giving you 7 days' notice by email.

3. Term and cancellation

  • The Website Care Plan has a minimum term of 3 months from the date your website goes live. After that, it continues month to month until you cancel by giving 30 days' notice by email.
  • Our full cancellation and refund terms, including your statutory rights as a consumer, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You'll give us accurate information and any access we need (for example, Manager access to your Google Business Profile).
  • You confirm that any text, photos, logos, accreditations and reviews you supply are accurate and that you have the right to use them.
  • Google controls verification of Business Profiles. We can't guarantee Google will verify a profile or how long it will take, or guarantee any particular search ranking.

5. Our standards

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We won't publish fake reviews or claims you haven't confirmed, and you can ask us to change or remove content at any time.

6. Ownership

  • You own your content (your text, photos and logos) and your domain name, which is registered in your name.
  • The website design and code are licensed to you while your care plan is active. If you leave, we'll hand over your content, images and domain, and the hosted site will be taken down. You can also ask us to quote a one-off buy-out of the site.

7. Availability and liability

  • We use reputable hosting providers and aim to keep your site available at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We're not responsible for outages caused by third parties outside our reasonable control.
  • For business customers, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we're not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Data protection

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where your website's enquiry form or assistant collects your customers' details, we process them only to run your website and pass enquiries to you.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you buy applies to your purchase. We'll email monthly customers about any significant change at least 30 days before it takes effect.

10. Complaints and law

If something isn't right, please email localwebstudio.uk@gmail.com and we'll aim to resolve it within 5 working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
