Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be happy with what you buy. This policy explains how to cancel and when you can get a refund. To cancel or ask for a refund, email localwebstudio.uk@gmail.com with the email address you used at checkout.

Your 14-day cancellation right (consumers)

If you buy as a consumer (for purposes outside your trade or business), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your purchase without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

• If you ask us to start work during the 14-day cancellation period and then cancel, we'll refund what you paid minus a fair amount for the work already done.
• If you ask us to start work during that period and we fully complete the service within it, you'll lose the right to cancel once the service is complete. We'll ask you to confirm this before we start.
• To cancel, just email us a clear statement that you want to cancel. You don't have to use any particular form.

Most of our customers buy for their business. Business customers don't have this statutory right, but our refund terms below still apply to everyone.

Work not yet started

If you cancel a one-off service before we've started work on it, we'll refund the full amount.

Work already started

• Website Setup: if you cancel after work has started but before you approve the site, we'll refund the £149 minus a fair amount for the work done so far, which we'll explain to you. Once you've approved the site and it's live, the setup fee is non-refundable.
• Google Business Profile Setup: once the profile work is complete, the £30 fee is non-refundable. If Google verification is out of our hands (for example, a new profile you haven't been able to verify), we'll complete everything we can and help you through Google's process.

If we can't deliver

If we can't provide a service you've paid for, for reasons within our control, we'll refund you in full.

Monthly plans

• The Website Care Plan has a minimum term of 3 months from when your website goes live. After that, you can cancel at any time by giving 30 days' notice by email.
• Your plan continues until the end of the notice period, and we don't refund part months already paid. You won't be charged again after the notice period ends.
• When the plan ends, we'll hand over your content, images and domain, and the hosted site will be taken down.

How refunds are paid

We refund to the card you paid with, through Stripe, within 14 days of agreeing the refund. Your bank may take a further 5 to 10 working days to show it.

Problems with the service

If something isn't right, email us and we'll put it right. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
